Employee Highlight: Matt Jones

Meet Matt Jones, Insurance Consultant at PGI! Matt has been with PGI for 4 years and we sat down to ask him a few questions:

Q: How long have you been with PGI? What originally drew you to PGI?

A: I’ve been with PGI 4 years. I was drawn to PGI’s culture, leadership, and community involvement. PGI has a strong focus on creating a positive work environment where employees can thrive and make a difference. The company’s commitment to giving back to the community is also a value that aligns with my own personal beliefs. I am grateful to be a part of such a great organization and look forward to what the future holds.

Q: What do you love most about living in Florida?

A: I love the beautiful beaches, warm weather, and abundance of outdoor activities. Whether it’s biking, boating, fishing, or golfing, there’s always something to do in Florida’s great outdoors.

Q: What is one thing you’ve learned in your position that you can apply to everyday life?

A: I’ve learned the importance of maintaining a consistent pace and prioritizing relationship building. I’ve come to understand that we have the power to shape our own reality and should take ownership of our personal development and career paths. Ultimately, it is up to us to create the future we want to live in, and no one else should or will do it for us.

Q: What is your favorite sports team, hobby, or fun fact about you?

A: My favorite sports teams are the Atlanta Braves and the Miami Heat. I love taking the Brightline train to Miami to catch their games, especially when the Braves play against the Miami Marlins at home. It’s always an exciting experience to watch the Braves and the Heat compete against top teams in their respective leagues. Whether it’s seeing the Braves hit home runs or watching the Heat make incredible plays, I always have a great time cheering them on.

Q: What’s something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?

A: This next year, I’m eagerly anticipating my adventure in Rincón, Puerto Rico, where I plan to indulge in a thrilling mix of beach hopping and hiking. I can’t wait to explore the pristine coastline, from famous surf spots like Domes and Maria’s Beach to the serene beauty of Steps Beach. While I may not be an experienced surfer, I’m excited to soak in the vibrant surf culture of Rincón, known as the Caribbean’s surf capital. I look forward to venturing into the lush tropical forests and hills, hiking along scenic trails to fully immerse myself in the natural wonders of this captivating region. Whether it’s relaxing on the beach, basking in the sun, or embarking on exhilarating hikes, Rincón promises a diverse and unforgettable experience for me as I fulfill this year’s travel plans.
