PAID SICK LEAVE AND EXPANDED FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE UNDER THE FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT

On April 1st the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) will take effect and require employers with less than 500 employees to provide sick leave and expanded family medical leave for reasons related to COVID-19. Employers must post a notice about the leave entitlements at each location. Attached is a model notice from the Department of Labor. Certain employers may be exempt as further guidance is issued.
