Meet Mike Dugan, President of PGI! Mike has been with PGI for 15 years and we sat down to ask him a few questions:

Q: What drew you to PGI?

A: I’m drawn to good people and good leaders so when Ed first brought the idea up of me joining PGI, I had to listen. My initial reason for joining the team was the opportunity and the quality of life. I wanted to take what I learned and the relationships I had built up to that point in my career and become an integral part of growing PGI and to make our own mark on the industry. It took some growing pains and many mistakes, but I could not be more proud of where we are and where will continue to go, the impact we will have on our communities, and the opportunities we will continue to provide to our employees and their families.

Q: What do you love most about living in Florida?

A: I love the location of Florida which obviously provides us with great weather – even the hot summers with rainy afternoons – we have access to so many year-round activities that most places around the country do not – the beach, golf, surfing, fishing, biking, the ability to play sports year-round AND the proximity to major airports that provide us with easy access to vacations locales all over the world.

Q: What is one thing you’ve learned in your position that you can apply to everyday life?

A: Multi-tasking – When you have three young girls, it’s a constant juggling act and you have to be able to multi-task – i.e. make dinner, do laundry, and help with homework all at the same time.

Q: Favorite sports team, hobby, or fun fact about you?

A: Even though I played college baseball, soccer is my favorite sport. I still play men’s league soccer at 42 years old (defending league champs!), I coach two youth soccer teams and you can essentially find me at the fields almost every day during the season.
