Research shows that employees care about much more than just their paycheck. There’s a lot of companies can do to foster a strong team that loves to work together.

If you want happy, loyal employees consider these 3 habits of top employers:

1. Facilitate better work-life balance. Some people aren’t motivated by more money but will still get behind a positive work experience in conjunction with the ability to lead a rewarding life. This could mean anything from implementing a wellness program to days off for volunteer work or even comping gym memberships.

2. Offer training opportunities and career mentoring. If younger employees don’t feel they can move up, they’ll move on. Talk to them about their careers.

3. Recognize and reward employees for taking risks or scoring wins. Give them dinner on you, an extra day off, a pizza party, or tickets to a show or game.
