Making sure you and your employees know how to create strong passwords is crucial.  A strong password is:

  1. Is at least eight characters long.
  2. Does not contain your user name, real name, or company name.
  3. Does not contain a complete word.
  4. Is significantly different from other passwords.
  5. Contains characters from a mix of upper case, lower case, numbers, and symbols.

Next, create an acronym from an easy-to-remember piece of information, for example, I love to play badminton could become ILuv2PlayB@dm1nt()n.

One more thing: make sure you have access to all employee passwords in case of an emergency, or you could be stuck longer than you think … especially if they followed the above tips!
